Three Bangkok Hotels Just Made the World's Top 10
The 50 Best Hotels 2026 list has landed, and the Thai capital has a lot to celebrate.

The 50 Best Hotels 2026 list has just been unveiled in Paris, and Bangkok dominated the top end. Capella Bangkok took the number two spot, while Four Seasons Bangkok at Chao Phraya River came in at number three.
Meanwhile, Mandarin Oriental Bangkok placed 10th, putting three of the world's top 10 hotels in one incredible city.

Capella Bangkok has been climbing the list since its opening and this year's number two position is its highest yet. Bill Bensley's riverside retreat sits on the Chao Phraya with a collection of private pool villas tucked into tropical gardens, each with a dedicated butler.
The design is theatrical and personal in equal measure, and the property has quickly built a reputation as one of the most distinctive luxury stays in Southeast Asia. In house Côte by Mauro Colagreco, whose three-starred Mirazur in the south of France was once named the best restaurant in the world, heads up the dining programme.
As for Four Seasons Bangkok at Chao Phraya River, it opened in late 2020 and its star has risen fast. Designed by Jean-Michel Gathy, the hotel is built as a series of interconnected buildings around courtyards, water features and tropical gardens, all facing the river.

The property sits on Charoenkrung, Bangkok's oldest road and now its most creative neighbourhood, and the 299 rooms have high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and river views throughout.
The Urban Wellness Centre spans 2,500 square metres across three floors, which makes it one of the largest hotel spas in the city, and a curated art collection in partnership with MOCA Bangkok runs from the lobby through to the riverfront.
Mandarin Oriental Bangkok, the oldest luxury hotel in the country, placed 10th while celebrating its 150th anniversary and after completing a significant renovation, which only promises to impress guests further.
Southeast Asia also cleaned up well across the broader list. Rosewood Hong Kong retained its number one position for the second consecutive year, with The Upper House in Hong Kong at eight, The Peninsula at 46 and the iconic Raffles Singapore at number 17. In total, 18 of the 50 hotels on the list are in Asia, which is a surefire sign to book your next stay.
